REAM 045 - APPLICATION AND ORDER FOR PERMANENT RELEASE OF EXHIBITS IN THE CUSTODY OF THE SUPERIOR COURT. This form is used in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, to request the permanent release of exhibits that are in the custody of the court. The applicant, who can be a plaintiff, petitioner, defendant, respondent, or other party involved in the case, must identify the exhibits they wish to be released. The form requires a description and exhibit number for each item. If the court orders the return or release of exhibits prior to final determination of the case in a criminal matter, pursuant to Penal Code Section 1417.2, a full and complete photographic record of the exhibits must be made and submitted by the party to whom the exhibit(s) is being returned.
