ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER. This form is used by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York to authorize the retention and appointment of a claims and noticing agent in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. The order allows the debtor(s) to employ an agent to handle administrative tasks, such as distributing notices, receiving and maintaining proofs of claim, and performing other related services. The agent acts as the official repository for proofs of claim, maintains claims registers, and obtains a post office box for receiving claims. The agent is compensated and reimbursed without needing court approval, must maintain records, and resolve disputes. The debtor(s) indemnify the agent under certain conditions, and the agent continues providing services throughout the case unless directed otherwise by the court.
