Request To Participate By Telephone {SC-31}

SC-31 - REQUEST TO PARTICIPATE BY TELEPHONE. This form is used in the Alaska District Court for requesting to participate in a trial or hearing by telephone. The form is intended for either the plaintiff, defendant, or their respective witnesses who want to participate remotely by phone due to certain circumstances. The form requests information about the trial or hearing date, the reason for requesting participation by phone, the availability during the trial/hearing, and contact details. Once the form is filled out and filed, it should be served to every other party involved in the case. The other party has the option to respond to the request, either agreeing or disagreeing, and providing reasons for their response. The court then issues an order either granting or denying the request. If granted, the order might include instructions for joining the trial or hearing by phone using a specific phone number, meeting ID, and possibly a passcode.
