Music Venue License Acknowledgment {ABC-203-MV}

ABC-203-MV - MUSIC VENUE LICENSE ACKNOWLEDGMENT. The department is authorized to issue a music venue license that would allow the licensee to sell beer, wine, and distilled spirits at retail for consumption on the premises in a music entertainment facility. A “music entertainment facility” means a publicly or privately owned live performance venue, concert hall, auditorium, or an enclosed arena where music or entertainment events are presented for a price of admission. A music venue licensee’s authorization to sell, serve, and permit consumption of alcoholic beverages is limited to the time period from two hours before a live performance until one hour after the live performance, subject to existing law prohibiting the sale, service and consumption between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. A licensee may hold private events that are exempt from the live performance requirement provided that the facility’s principal purpose shall be to operate as a music entertainment facility.
