STATEMENT OF REDACTION. This form is used in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota to request the redaction of personal identifiers (PIs) or other sensitive information from a court transcript. In compliance with Local Rule 5.5 and federal rules such as Fed. R. Civ. P. 5.2 or Fed. R. Crim. P. 49.1, this form allows a party to specify details that need to be redacted, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, dates of birth, or other confidential information. The form requires the petitioner to list the page and line number of each redaction request and indicate how the redacted information should appear (e.g., replacing a Social Security number with XXX-XX-1234). The requestor acknowledges that the redacted version will be filed within 31 days but will not receive a complimentary copy. Additionally, if they purchased the original transcript, they may access the redacted version electronically through CM/ECF, subject to PACER fees.
