Description
JD-GC-22 - CLAIM OF EXEMPTION CLIENT SECURITY FUND FEE. This form is for attorneys in Connecticut who qualify for either a full or partial exemption from paying the Client Security Fund fee. Full exemptions apply to attorneys who are retired, disbarred, have resigned from the Connecticut Bar, or are on active military duty for more than six months in the current calendar year. A partial exemption, which reduces the fee by 50%, is available for attorneys who do not actively practice law as an occupation and do not expect to earn more than $1,000 in legal fees for the year. If circumstances change during the year (e.g., they begin practicing or exceed the income limit), they must inform the Client Security Fund and pay the remaining balance. The form must be mailed to the Client Security Fund with no payment for full exemptions or with a $37.50 check for partial exemptions. P.B. § 2-55, 2-55A, 2-70 C.G.S. §§ 51-81b (g), 51-81d. www.Formsworkflow.com
