Description
SMALL ESTATE AFFIDAVIT LIMITED LETTER OF AUTHORITY FOR ASSET DISTRIBUTION (under authority of T.C.A. § 30-4-101 et. seq.). This affidavit is to be used in Shelby County, Tennessee, to file for an alternative small estate administration of your deceased’s (also known as “decedent”) estate pursuant to The Small Estates Act, T.C.A. § 30-4-101 et seq. It allows an individual, known as the affiant, to settle the estate without formal court administration, provided the total value of the decedent's personal property does not exceed $50,000. The form requires the affiant to provide detailed information about the decedent, such as their name, date of death, residence, and whether a will exists. The affiant must also disclose debts owed by the decedent, list assets in the estate, identify heirs or beneficiaries, and confirm their authority to act (e.g., as an heir, creditor, or representative). The affiant takes an oath affirming the accuracy of the information provided and commits to fulfilling their duties responsibly. This affidavit simplifies the process of distributing the decedent's assets to heirs or creditors. www.FormsWorkflow.com
