Description
TENANT’S AFFIDAVIT IN OPPOSITION TO SUMMARY EVICTION REGARDING NONPAYMENT OF RENT. This form is used in the Justice Court of Henderson Township, Clark County, Nevada, for tenants who wish to contest a summary eviction due to nonpayment of rent. The tenant completes this affidavit to formally request a hearing and provide a defense against the eviction. The form allows tenants to state reasons such as having already paid rent, attempting to pay but having the payment refused, being locked out of the rental unit, or withholding rent due to the landlord’s failure to maintain a habitable living condition. Tenants must also indicate whether their rent is subsidized, if they have entered into a repayment plan, and if they have applied for rental assistance. The affidavit must be signed under penalty of perjury, and once filed, a court hearing is scheduled where both the landlord and tenant will have the opportunity to present their case. Proper court attire is required, and copies of the affidavit must be provided to the landlord to ensure participation in the hearing. www.FormsWorkflow.com
