IN THE CIRCUIT COURT, OF THE NINTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA STATE OF FLORIDA, Plaintiff, v. _________________________ Defendant. _________________________/ JOINT STIPULATION FOR CONTINUANCE AND ABEYANCE COMES NOW the State of Florida by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney and the defendant by and through his undersigned attorney and jointly request this Court continue the trial in this case. As grounds the parties would show that: 1. After an information was filed in this case, the defendant was referred to the Pretrial Diversion Services Program/Bad Check Diversion Program. 2. If the defendant successfully completes the aforesaid program, the State of Florida will move to dismiss this pending case in accordance with the Diversion Services Contract signed by the State and the Defendant. 3. The Defendant specifically waives his right to a speedy trial as defined in the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Florida, the Florida Statutes and the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure.
