Description
SMALL ESTATE AFFIDAVIT. This form is used in the County Court at Law in Fort Bend County, Texas when a person passes away without a will and their estate meets certain criteria, such as having a total value not exceeding $75,000 (excluding homestead and exempt property). The affidavit allows the heirs or distributees of the deceased to declare the assets, liabilities, and family history of the decedent to establish their right to inherit the property. If approved by the court, this affidavit allows for the distribution of the estate's assets without the need for a formal probate process. www.FormsWorkflow.com
