Description
JA-9 - COMPULSORY ACCOUNTING CITATION. This form is used in the Surrogate's Court of Suffolk County, New York to compel a fiduciary, such as an executor or administrator of an estate, to present a formal accounting of their management of the estate's assets. The citation orders the fiduciary to appear in court and show cause why they should not be required to file and settle their account of the estate. If the fiduciary fails to comply, the court may take further actions, such as suspending their authority and appointing a temporary or successor fiduciary. The citation also informs the fiduciary that if they do not appear or comply, it will be assumed they do not object to the relief requested. www.FormsWorkflow.com
