Description
MC 14 - GARNISHEE DISCLOSURE. This form is used in Michigan by a garnishee (usually an employer or financial institution) to report to the court and involved parties regarding the garnishment of a judgment debtor's funds or periodic payments. This form must be completed and submitted within 14 days of receiving the writ of garnishment. It includes details about the garnishee's obligations to the debtor, the nature of the payments being garnished (either periodic or nonperiodic), and whether the garnishee is currently holding any funds or property owed to the debtor. The form also specifies if the garnishee cannot withhold payments due to reasons like invalid writs, the debtor's employment status, or existing higher priority garnishments. The form requires the garnishee to certify that the information is true and provide a certificate of mailing to confirm that copies of the disclosure were sent to the court, plaintiff, and defendant. 15 USC 1672, 15 USC 1673, MCR 3.101. www.FormsWorkflow.com
