IN THE OFFICE OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION OF GWINNETT COUNTY STATE OF GEORGIA __________________________________ Plaintiff Civil Action No. _________________________vs. __________________________________ Defendant NON-BINDING ARBITRATION STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDINGThe parties in the above-styled case acknowledge that the arbitrator has explained, and that they understandthe following: The arbitrator will hear all parties and file an arbitration award with the Dispute Resolution Coordinator within 48 hours. The arbitrator will not act as an attorney or advocate for any party to this action. Pro se parties have a right to counsel. Other than issuing an Award, the arbitrator will not testify about anything said during the arbitration hearing, nor about any evidence presented. The parties agree not to subpoena the arbitrator or any documents submitted to the arbitrator. Parties may file a post-arbitration demand for trial, within thirty (30) days of the arbitration hearing with the Clerk of Court. If no party files a demand for trial within this time-frame, it shall be deemed a consent to the arbitration award and shall constitute a waiver of trial.
