22.300 Child Support; Determined Later (See 23.000 et seq.) After you make your determinations about (equitable division and alimony) and/or have returned your verdict, you will be called upon to also decide issues of child support. Though you have heard the evidence applicable to child support, you have not yet heard the law applicable to that issue, so you should not speculate on possible child support issues in arriving at your verdict on the issues now before you. However, the awards you make for equitable division and alimony may affect your award of child support. The court will instruct you further on how these issues relate in the child support phase of the trial after you have returned your initial verdict.
