This Writ is a court order that requires the garnishee to take part of the money owed to you and pay it to the judgment creditor. This will happen with every paycheck until the judgment is paid or the Court orders the garnishee to stop. The garnishee will withhold only part, if any, of each paycheck, depending on how much you earn. The rest must be paid to you. On each payday, you will get a Nonexempt Earnings Statement that shows how much can be taken out, which is set by state and federal law.
