RI-FL041 - DECLARATION REGARDING NOTICE OF ORDER SHORTENING TIME REQUEST (FAMILY LAW – NON-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE). The court cannot consider your request for an order shortening time unless you have given notice as required by California Rules of Court, rules 5.151, 5.165 and 5.167. If you or a family member needs domestic violence or child abuse protection, please use the Domestic Violence Protection Act forms (DV-100, DV-109 and DV-110). Requesting an order shortening time means that you want to reduce the number of days that you have to serve the Request for Order papers on the other party and/or shorten the number of days to the hearing date. You must give notice to all parties or their attorneys no later than 10:00 a.m. the court day before the Request for Order papers requesting an order shortening time are provided to the court.
