EJ-141 - APPLICATION AND ORDER TO APPEAR FOR EXAMINATION—CONSUMER DEBT. This form is used by a judgment creditor in California to request a court order for a judgment debtor to appear in court for an examination to provide information to help enforce a consumer debt judgment awarded on or after January 1, 2025. Consumer debt refers to obligations from personal, family, or household transactions and excludes rental debt, tort-related debt, or judgments for unpaid wages or fraud. The order must be served to the debtor at least 30 days before the hearing. The debtor may submit a financial affidavit instead of appearing if they file and serve it to the creditor 15 days prior to the examination.
