PCT/RO/152, INVITATION TO AUTHORIZE TRANSMITTAL OF PURPORTED INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL BUREAU AS RECEIVING OFFICE AND TO PAY FEE (PCT Rule 19.4(a)(iii) and Administrative Instructions, Section 333). This form is used by the International Bureau of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) as a receiving office under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). This form is used to invite an applicant who has filed a purported international application with an office that is not authorized to act as a receiving office under the PCT, to authorize the transmission of the application to the International Bureau as the proper receiving office and to pay the required fee for doing so. In other words, if an applicant has mistakenly filed their PCT application with an office that is not authorized to act as a receiving office under the PCT, the International Bureau may send them the PCT/RO/152 form as an invitation to correct the error and authorize the transmission of the application to the International Bureau as the correct receiving office.
