Description

Form MC 26 - NOTICE OF INTENT TO DISMISS FOR NO PROGRESS. This form is used by Michigan courts to notify parties in a case that their matter may be dismissed due to inactivity. If no action or proceedings have occurred in the case for 91 days, the court issues this notice, warning that the case will be dismissed 28 days later unless the parties demonstrate that progress is being made or provide a valid reason for the delay that is not their fault. This form is typically used in civil, probate, and domestic relations cases to ensure that cases are actively pursued and not left unresolved in the court system. If the case is dismissed, any associated IV-D child support services will also stop 60 days after dismissal, unless the party contacts the Office of Child Support to continue services. Approved, SCAO. MCR 2.501(C), MCR 2.502(A). www.FormsWorkflow.com
